Under his Chairmanship, the Editorial Board Of Manimekalai Prasuram consisting of 84 writers, is maintaining its publication of 200 books per year for the past 35 years. He has edited more than 6500 books, which is indeed a commandable achievement and must be a guinness record at the age of 61. He has written 70 books in various subjects in 35 years.
He was selected and given the Best Journalist of Tamilnadu , Rajiv Gandhi Award in the year of 1992- 93.
Done wide travelling. Visited Paris and London by accepting respective Tamil associations invitations in 1984. Other countries he has travelled are Sri Lanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Switzerland and U.S.A. He visited Japan and many Asian countries in May 1988. Sharjah Tamil sangam has invited him in May 1992.
Tanjore Tamil University has selected his book ‘Oru Pathirigaiyalanin Melai Nattu payana Anubavangal’ (means, Experiences of a Journalist in Western Countries) as one of the best books published in 1986 and given a cash award of Rs.5,000.
‘Oru Pakkak Katturai – Part 12’ , one of his Self – improvement book has won the Bharath State Bank award for the best book and was given a cash prize of Rs.3,000 by then Tamilnadu Finance Minister. He is a visiting lecturer in Journalism in few city colleges like Pachaiappa’s , Loyola, Queen Mary’s and Anna Adarsh for Women.
He conduct many personality development courses to people in all walks of life. He has visited Malaysia in 1991,92,95 and 1998, 2006, 2007 for this purpose. His time management classes are very popular.
Two students had done Ph.D on his work and three other students done M.Phil.Two more doing M.Phil now. The youngest ever researched in Madras University.
He was one among the five invitees to Sydney Tamil Cultural Conference held in Australia during October 1992. He accepted the invitation and attended a special meeting of Wellington Tamil Sangam , Newzealand.
He enjoys the pride in releasing Cassette and CD on Time Management especially for the students for the first time in Tamilnadu perhaps India.
Govt of Srilanka has invited him as one among 2 journalists from Tamilnadu to train Srilankan Journalists in Colombo.
His novels has been translated to Malayalam and got good response from the readers.
In 1996, the two US Tamil Sangams by name Tamil Foundation and Tamil Federation has invited him as its Chief Guest. On his way to US he has visited Germany, Netherland also.
In 1997 Febraury , Rotary Club Of Pallava honoured him by giving the ‘ For the Sake Of Honour Award.
In 1997 March, he was awarded ‘Sathanai Selvar’ in a function conducted by Mullai Charam magazine.
His another Self improvement Book – ‘Oru Pakkaka Katturaigal – Part 14’ won the State Bank of India’s second Prize Rs.2,000, in 1997.
In 1999, Moovendar Ilakkia Kazhagam of Coimbatore honoured him with ‘Moovendar Award’ and gave a cash prize Rs.10,000 for his book titled ‘Thamizhai Thedi Oru Payanam’.
At the end of Year 2000 he accepted the invitation of Mr.Kallaru Satheesh of Swiss and visited Switzerland, Germany, Belgium, Netherland , Luxembourg and also to US for the third time.
He was invited by Kuwait Front liners in 2003. He enjoyed the company of Isaignani Ilayaraja during this trip. He was again invited to Kuwait in 2005 by palaik kuilgal, a popular poets association.
Getting Super Star Rajini Kanth’s appointment itself is very difficult. But that Super Star has visited Lena’s house to greet his son who got married in 2003.
He was selected as a ‘Best Journalist’ by Kanchi Mutt and given the tiltle of "Ilakkiya Chinthanamani".
